A combined count of 165 players representing five franchises—Mumbai Indians, Delhi Capitals, UP Warriorz, Gujarat Giants and Royal Challengers Bangalore—will be up for auction. There are a maximum of 30 slots available, with nine reserved for overseas players. The distribution includes 104 Indian players and 61 from overseas. The auction is scheduled for today in Mumbai. A WPL team is allowed a maximum squad size of 18 players, and Gujarat Giants, owned by Adani, are expected to spend the most.
